Make a difference in the lives of local kids and families in the Raleigh area this Christmas.
We’re teaming up with Safe Families for Children (SFFC) for this year’s Christmas Offering. SFFC hosts vulnerable children and creates extended family-like supports for families facing a crisis through a community of compassionate volunteers to keep children safe and families together.
Parents are referred to SFFC for a variety of reasons but mostly because of an unstable living environment or crisis. The majority of children hosted by SFFC are younger than 6 years of age, and 95% return to their parent or a relative who is in a better position to care for them. It costs SFFC about $55.90 a day to host one child. Southbridge is aiming to raise $39,130 to allow enough funding for SFFC to host 25 children for 4 weeks.
