2025 Mission Trips
At Southbridge, our mission is to connect people to Jesus for life transformation. While we focus on reaching Raleigh, we also recognize God’s call for some to extend this mission globally.
Southbridge mission trips offer opportunities for our church to support ministries and missionaries from our community as they connect people to Jesus worldwide.
Below is a list of Southbridge-sponsored mission trips planned for summer 2025.
We understand that God’s work extends beyond Southbridge’s official mission trips. If you feel called to join a mission trip through another organization, please inform us so we can discuss how to support you.
MADAGASCAR
Spring/Summer
In Madagascar, we will partner with Nathan + Tessa Baker, longtime Southbridge Missionaries. We will be working in poor communities that lack access to the gospel and equipping local church leaders and missionaries to share the gospel. The trip is typically 12-16 days and can be quite physically taxing. Learn more about the Bakers here.
UGANDA
Summer
The Uganda trip is partners with Second Chance Children’s Ministry. In Uganda, many people speak English, and you will get the opportunity to love on orphans and share the gospel at a variety of outreaches. The trip is usually 10-12 days. Learn more about Second Chance Ministry here.
BRAZIL
July (Dates TBD)
In Brazil, we partner with our Missionaries, the Matias’ to reach kids in favelas. They lead the Lighthouse Ministry which is a Christian Community center in the middle of one of the poorest neighborhoods in São Paulo. This trip is typically 7-9 days and consists of high school students and adults. Learn more about the Matias family here.
COLOMBIA
Summer (Dates TBD)
In Colombia, we will partner with longtime missionaries Ron + Debbie Stafford as well as the church they planted called The Mission. We will join their church in a variety of outreaches. Colombia is a musical culture, so musicians as well as Spanish speakers are critical to the success of the trip, but even if that is not you, there is a role for you to play. Learn more about the Stafford family here.
PANAMA
Summer (Dates TBD)
The Panama trip is a great trip for families (typically kids 12+) to go on and experience their first mission trip together. There is a direct flight from RDU that makes the travel easy and the trip is usually 5-7 days. While you are there you will be loving on special needs orphans that Heart’s Cry has rescued. Spanish is helpful but not required for the trip. Learn more about Heart’s Cry here.
