Fall Outreach 2024: How You Can Participate

Danny Myers   -

It’s October, which means it’s time for our annual Neighborhood Fall Outreach.

Together, let’s own our impact and start conversations with our neighbors.

Thursday, October 31, is coming up fast, so let’s begin praying for how God can use you this fall.

FALL OUTREACH KICKOFF
On Sunday morning, October 27, after both services, we’ll enjoy a festival atmosphere that will model how you can host an outreach at your home on Halloween. Free food (hot dogs and candy) and drinks (slushies and water) will be available. There’s no need to register, just show up!

FALL OUTREACH DAY
On Thursday, October 31 (Halloween), host an outreach at your house or help someone else with their outreach. Your neighbors will already be walking around… let’s not miss this opportunity! Hosting an outreach is as simple as setting up a table at the end of your driveway, passing out candy, and having good conversations with your neighbors. But you can be as creative as you want. Here are four steps to be intentional:

BE PRAYING: Ask God to bring the right people to your house and give you the right words to say.
BE PRESENT: Don’t just hand out free items; connect with people as they come by your house.
BE GENEROUS: Give out hot dogs, burgers, apple cider, and full-sized candy bars.
BE INTENTIONAL: Invite people into your life, your small group, Southbridge, or a relationship with Jesus.

You can also opt to help someone with their outreach. For both options, fill out this form.

BRIDGE BUILDING GRANT
If there’s a way that Southbridge can help you go above and beyond in loving your neighbors, let us know! In past years, we’ve provided funds and other support by providing extra hotdogs, Chick-fil-A nugget trays, bonus candy, and more. To request resources, fill out our Bridge Building Grant Application.
