Guided Prayer – Week 2
PASSAGE: LUKE 22:42
“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we come before You in reverence, knowing that Jesus’ prayer in Gethsemane echoes in our own lives. In His suffering, He showed us surrender—not out of ease, but out of trust. Today, we lift up those who are wrestling with Your will, those who are carrying burdens too heavy to bear, and those who are longing for Your strength to take the next step.
Lord, we lay down our plans. We lay down our expectations. We lay down our need to control the outcome. We trust You. I pray over each person who is in the place of surrender. May they find peace in Your will. May they find strength in Your presence. And may they rest in the truth that the same God who carried Jesus through Gethsemane will carry them, too.
In Jesus’ powerful and precious name, Amen.
