Guided Prayer – Week 3
PASSAGE: MARK 14:37-38
Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Simon,” he said to Peter, “are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour? Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we come before You, recognizing our own weaknesses. We want what you want, and we also want our sin. We are torn. Like the disciples, we often grow weary when we should be watchful. We are weak when we should be strong. Our spirit longs to follow You, but our flesh is weak. Lord, awaken us! Strengthen us! Help us to be vigilant in prayer, steadfast in faith, and ready to stand firm against temptation.
Father, I pray for renewed strength over every person at Southbridge. Make us aware. Lead us away from temptation but empower us to stand firm in the power when temptation comes. When our flesh is weak, remind us that Your grace is sufficient and that You fight for us.
In Jesus’ mighty and victorious name, Amen.
