Pastor Danny’s Sabbatical
In 2019, Southbridge’s elders and pastoral leadership team introduced a Sabbatical Policy, affirming our commitment to the long-term health and renewal of our pastors. This policy makes a sabbatical available to pastors every seventh year of continuous service, a rhythm rooted in rest, reflection, and renewal.
Since then, several of our pastors—Scott, Jon Cullen, Brad Atlice, and Dave Morley—have stepped away for intentional sabbaticals. This summer, it is Danny Myers’ turn.
Danny, our Sending Pastor, will begin his sabbatical on July 1 and return on August 26. Over the past seven years, Danny and his wife, Anna, have poured themselves into the mission of Southbridge, serving with open hands and wholehearted dedication. This time away is an opportunity for them to step back, reconnect deeply with the Lord, and experience soul-level renewal: spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
Our prayer is that this sabbatical will not only refresh Danny and Anna personally but also prepare them for what is next in their ministry journey with us. We are incredibly thankful for their leadership, their faithfulness, and the impact they have had on our church family. May this season grow them closer to Christ and to each other.
Please join us in praying for Danny and Anna during this time, asking God to do immeasurably more than they can ask or imagine.
Will you join us in praying:
- That this will be a time of rest and refreshment.
- That God will use this time to encourage and strengthen Pastor Danny and his family.
- For our elders, pastoral staff, and staff team as they take on additional responsibilities while Pastor Danny is on sabbatical.
