Each year around Christmas, Southbridge picks a ministry/project designed to help those in need in our community. In 2020, we were able to pay one month’s rent for every resident of Stonecrest Apartments. In 2021, we donated over $13,000 to three local ministry partners.
A few months ago, Southbridge partnered with Raleigh Dream Center to reach another apartment complex in our community. Every other Saturday this fall, we’ve had volunteers at The Bridges apartments serving the community by providing meals, building relationships, playing with the kids, and providing beds and coats for a family in need.
For the 2022 Christmas Offering, Southbridge decided to support the residents of The Bridges community by helping pay one month of their electric bill. There are around 600 units at The Bridges, and each apartment’s monthly bill is around $120. Whatever gets collected from now to the end of the year will be split among those 600 units.
