What Is The Gospel?
The gospel is the good news of God’s grace invading the darkness of this world. It is the grand narrative of creation, the fall, redemption, and consummation ordained by God and orchestrated through the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. The crucifixion of Jesus is the heart of the gospel. His resurrection is the power of the gospel. His ascension is the glory of the gospel.
How Should You Respond To The Gospel?
First, acknowledge that you are a sinner (Romans 3:23), like all of us. Sin is rebellion against God. Recognize the weight of your sin. Sin earns you eternal separation from God, but God offers you the free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23). Confess your sins and ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior (Romans 10:9-10).
